How To Curl Short Hair With Straightener – Messed with my hair. It’s JK, but I cut it 6 inches! Life is pretty good with short hair. I’ve been a kid with long hair for as long as I can remember. Only once did I cut half of my palm. In fact, I’ve had long hair most of my life and I miss it so much I cry every time I cut it in half. I can proudly say that I didn’t cry this time…but I was a little scared. You know it sucks the first time you wash your hair after a 6-inch cut. So the first time you do it, it’s like WTF AM I DOING? terrifying. So learn how and everything will be fine again.
This post should have been published about 3 weeks ago, but life is just better than you, you know? I’ve been wearing this look since Halloween and I can’t count my fingers and toes. I learned how to style textured curls by watching “LOB Texture Hair Tutorials” for about 16 hours on Youtube with Maggie, a stylist at Studio 890 in Milwaukee. In case you were wondering, LOB stands for long chapter. I’m proud to be able to recreate what Maggie did in my head for the first time. So, I decided to record a little tutorial for her enjoyment. Strictly speaking, this technique can be used on any hair length, but it is especially suitable for both long and short hair. to enjoy!

Ways To Curl Short Hair
As you can see in the video above, I have curls all over my head. If you blow it up, it will be a big mess. I also have thick thick hair. My hair type definitely has its pros and cons. The main advantage is that my hair stays stuck no matter what I do. The biggest downside is that you always have to style it to keep it looking nice.
First you need to dry your hair. I prefer to blow dry my hair as much as possible and then dry it a bit. As soon as I get out of the shower, I apply Moroccan Oil all over my body. No matter how you style your hair, you use oil because it helps moisturize and add thickness. Before applying heat, I spray on Bumble and Bumble’s Bb Primer (it protects the hair and smells really good). After drying your hair, separate it with a clip and roll it up, and voila! I just bought a new straightener from Target. His name is FHI. The FHI flat iron is super economical and perfect for straightening hair! It is large in size and ceramic. So you don’t pull your hair while curling.
The reason why I love curling my hair with a curling iron is because us curly haired girls basically need to straighten our hair halfway before blow drying it. The flat iron is literally a 2-in-1 product that saves you a lot of time! Before curling I curl my hair over my head like a straightener before curling but fhi works best. I also like the textured curl look that a flat iron creates compared to a wand or curling iron.
I’ve found that the best way to learn about my hair is to watch a 16-hour tutorial. So watch my video about 194 times and you will understand! Instead of a step-by-step guide on how to step… Here are some tips!

After styling, apply a generous amount of hairspray and then pomade to ends and roots. The ointment is your key friend! If you apply too much it can stick, so apply a little to both ends to improve the hold. It’s also great for flyaway hair at its roots!
Since doing this tutorial, I’ve been experimenting more with my hair! For example, instead of trying to create real curls with a flat iron, cut your hair. Do this on all the different parts (top, middle and ends) and you’ll get a nice texture!

I can do it on Monday and I usually wear curls at least until Friday. Over the years, I’ve learned many tricks for curling very short hair with pixie hair. Keep reading to learn about three of my favorite curly hair tools and the many different ways you can use them to create curls. Lessons are included.
Whichever technique you choose to cut your hair short, you should start with dry hair. Whenever I need to brew a fresh head, I do this. After washing my face, I use conditioner and styling mousse. Then dry and smooth slightly with a round brush. After hair is completely dry, use a leave-in serum as a heat protectant. This last step is important. Don’t forget to protect your hair from the heat with products.
Most hot tools come with a temperature gauge. When choosing the right heat, think about the quality of your hair and the heat required to style it. Thick, manageable hair requires higher temperatures than fine, delicate hair. If your hair doesn’t fall to these extremes, preheating the iron to medium heat (360F) is fine.
Size matters, so you need to find a diameter tool that fits the length of your hair. The size of your iron determines the size of your curling irons and the size of tools you need for the length of your hair. For example, if your hair is 2.5 cm long, a wand longer than 2.5 cm is not suitable.

We recommend choosing a curling iron that comes with thermal protection gloves to avoid burning your fingers. The attached video tutorial uses this Eva-NYC Healthy Heat Shaper. It comes with a glove box and has adjustable digital temperature settings.
Using a curling iron is very easy. For a more manageable method, divide the hair into 1 inch sections from the bottom, wrap the hair around the stick and hold for about 5-10 seconds. Then remove the stick. To create a curl ring look, allow curls to cool and become completely defined.
After releasing each leg, pull back slightly to slow one leg. To keep your hair length short, leave the ends loose and keep them straight. Curl your face hair forward (optional), but you can curl it backwards all the way back. Spray into hair to complete the style.

I often use a flat iron to curl my strands for sculpted, perfect waves (one of my favorite hairstyles, by the way). Keep in mind that you will need a smaller iron to cut short hair. My pick is Stylecraft’s Schmedium Flat Iron as part of their travel duo. This iron reaches up to 410F, so it’s perfect for skills where you need the iron to go through your hair.
Take a small 1 inch section of hair and apply the straightener to the roots. Then flatten your hair a bit and if you don’t have enough length to wrap your hair around the flat iron, turn the flat iron 180 degrees and pull it down to create beachy waves. If you like, relax your feet a little more by pulling them up a little with your toes. Leave a tip for this technique too, so we can see it longer.
In this video, showing how to curl short hair with a curling iron, we use two methods. The long bangs styled with extensions used the beach wave technique. The bag uses a slide-and-glide technique to create a sense of body and volume.
If you want to add volume, get a smaller piece with a larger iron pipe. separation
